The Founding Vision
The founding of Ananda Sastralaya is associated with educationist Dayasena Turnolius Pasqual, Dr. E. W. Adikaram and local community supporters. Published histories record the opening at Sri Sudarshanaramaya Temple, Matugama, with the participation of education reformer C. W. W. Kannangara. Confirm the exact anniversary day from the school archives before final printing: school sources state both 22 and 23 February 1942.
